Job Summary
This position will create marketing pieces for the Office of International Engagement. Employees in this position are expected, but are not limited to, performing the following job responsibilities:
1. Manage the department's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) by developing content and posting interesting and helpful information. Doing continuous research to improve engagement and reach.
2. Research and develop videos as needed for Office of International Engagement
3. Interviewing and writing spotlight stories to publish online.
4. Assist with creating and managing the comprehensive marketing plan for OIE including website content, social media content, etc.
5. Utilize design skills to create visuals for digital marketing.
6. Assisting in marketing research for Office of International Engagement needs (i.e. email, print, alumni services, online communication, etc.)
7. Assist the Office of International Engagement staff with other outreach events and projects as necessary.
Pay Rate
$14/hour
Required Qualifications
1. Ideal candidate should be available for OIE events and have photography and/or videography experience.
2. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous experience with social media, communications or marketing strongly preferred
2. Photography and/or videography skills
3. Graphic design experience and skills
4. Communication, Graphic Design, Creative Technologies, English, Marketing, or similar major
5. A creative and innovative personality with a passion for social media
6. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
7. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
8. Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, and pay close attention to detail
9. Effective time management skills, with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability
10. Ability to work closely with others on a team
11. Possess general office skills and have ability to learn new software applications
