The Assistant Director for Data and Business Intelligence is a key member of the Career Services team who leads and collaborates on the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of data that informs strategic decision-making, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. This position provides leadership in developing and assessing career learning outcomes, facilitating graduate outcomes data collection, conducting business analysis, and delivering actionable insights through data visualization and strategic reporting.
Serving as a liaison between Career Services, campus partners, and external vendors, the Assistant Director ensures the integrity, accessibility, and usability of all Career Center data systems. The role also focuses on identifying process improvements, supporting data-informed decision-making across the department and Division of Student Affairs, and using data storytelling to report student, employer, and operational trends.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$5,088 per month
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or closely related field.
2. Three (3) years of full-time or part-time equivalent professional level work experience in project management, data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
3. Excellent communication and storytelling with data.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in related field.
2. Experience working in higher education settings.
3. Experience managing CRM and/or SIS platforms.
Work Hours
Core work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Occasionally and with assistance, lift up to 30lbs for Career Services events/programs.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
