Job Summary

This position provides support to the Executive Director and other direct reports in all areas related to business, building, and office operations with responsibilities concentrated in three major areas: finance, administration, and project management.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$28.00 - $32.69 per hour

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or equivalent degree in business administration, communications, management, accounting, human resources, or related field.
2. Two (2) years of full-time or part-time equivalent professional level accounting, project management, managerial, non-profit or educational administration, and/or business experience.
3. Demonstrated experience working in broadcast and/or digital media, communications, or logistics.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar.
6. Supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Self-starter with ability to work with little minimal day to day direct supervision, make significant decisions, and solve problems independently.
2. Familiarity with procedures for administering budgets, managing projects, generating purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, travel vouchers, etc.
3. Strong proofreading and editing skills.
4. Excellent time management and organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
5. The ability to handle confidential matters appropriately and with discretion.
6. Standard office/administrative skills including familiarity with various reference manuals, university documents, directories, and handbooks.
7. Knowledge of the administrative structure of a university (or similar organization) and familiarity with the importance of cultivating working relationships with contacts on and off campus.
8. Familiarity with the mission of non-commercial media or community service non-profits.
9. Experience with broadcasting traffic systems dynamic online (display and audio) ad delivery systems, or similar systems.

Work Hours

8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
