Title: Student Conduct Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a Student Conduct Coordinator who will be dedicated to helping undergraduate and graduate students meet the community standards of Illinois State University by participating in the administration of the student conduct process and supporting Student Conduct programs, outreach, assessment, and other services. The Coordinator serves as a conduct case manager for issues of academic and social misconduct; gathers and considers information, determines responsibility for possible violations and applies outcomes for students in accordance with the Code of Student Conduct. The position must use a high level of discretion to help resolve complex, sensitive matters that often involve many departments and have a potentially high impact on students’ enrollment, University standing, personal wellness, and finance. This position works to educate the university community on student policy compliance and expectations. The Coordinator is a role model for students and represents the Office of Student Conduct and the university in a positive and professional manner.
Additional Information
Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at Illinois State University’s Normal, IL campus location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion and in accordance with University Police 3.1.31. Remote Work Guidelines for A/P and Civil Service Appointments.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$47,000 - $53,000 annually

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree and
2. Fulfill one of the following:
a. Minimum 1 academic year (9 months) of experience with student conduct, academic integrity, or another kind of student accountability in a university setting. (Not required to be fulltime experience; for example, graduate assistantship or hearing board member experiences.) OR
b. Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of fulltime work in a college or university setting. OR
c. Completion of the Association of Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) Gehring Academy Foundations of Practice track. OR
d. Master's degree in college student personnel, counseling, higher education, higher education administration, student affairs administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in college student personnel, counseling, higher education, higher education administration, student affairs administration, or a related field
2. Two years of fulltime experience in student conduct programs at a college or university
3.Knowledge and experience with a student conduct database (Advocate, Maxient, Pave, etc.)
4. Knowledge of student development strategies including restorative justice
5. Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential issues
6. Ability to act independently with use of good judgment in solving common problems and issues
Work Hours
Core work hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30 pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
