Job Summary
The College of Engineering is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional student worker to provide administrative and event support within the Dean’s Suite. Responsibilities may include assisting with general office duties; welcoming and directing guests; answering phones and responding to basic inquiries; assisting with meetings, events, and special projects; preparing materials; maintaining organized office spaces; and providing other support as needed. The student worker will serve as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors and help ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Dean’s Suite.

Pay Rate
$15.00/hour
Required Qualifications
-Must be an active Illinois State University student in good academic and disciplinary standing at the time of the application and throughout employment
-Must be able to commit to the position for at least two consecutive semesters
-Demonstrate strong knowledge and implementation of excellent customer service
Preferred Qualifications
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Attention to detail.
-Performs tasks promptly and efficiently.
Work Hours
15-20 hours per week.
Availability between 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday (hours will vary).
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

- Effectively communicate on a daily basis.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review. Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.
