Job Summary
The Assistant Principal at University High School is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the school throughout the calendar year. This includes monitoring attendance, student supervision, discipline, being the Facility Manager, as well as supervising the Summer School program. In addition, the Assistant Principal participates in Faculty Governance as the Chair of the Student Conduct Committee and the Safety Committee and plays a role in supporting Teacher Education in collaboration with the University. This is a 12-month position.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$85,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications
1. Master's degree.
2. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative or Principal Endorsement by July 1, 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a building administrator
Work Hours
School hours, with additional evening hours to be present and supervise evening and weekend activities.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
