Job Summary
Provide support to the Loan Processing and Employment area as well as the Financial Aid Office in general. Duties include running processes, reviewing reports and data entry in the and Campus Solutions system. Corresponds with parents and students via phone and email regarding questions and requests related to federal and private loans and the Federal Work Study (FWS) program.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour

1. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
2. Attention to detail; dependability
3. Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
4. Good interpersonal skills for dealing effectively and cooperatively with staff and public
5. Ability to perform routine office work using basic clerical skills
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will be comfortable with technology - Microsoft Office applications are strongly preferred.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. up to 28 hours per week.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University's supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
