Development-FundraisingThe Director of Development represents Illinois State University in pursuing major gifts (funding commitments of $25,000 or more made via outright, pledged or planned gift arrangements) from individuals. The individual holding the position will develop and execute strategies and plans to cultivate, solicit and secure major gifts and qualify new major gift prospects. As appropriate, the individual will collaborate with development colleagues working on behalf of ISU colleges or administrative units and with deans, other campus administrative leaders, and faculty/staff. -

Vice President & ProvostThe Director, Academic Labor and Employee Relations provides strategic and operational leadership to the Academic Labor & Employee Relations (ALER) section in the Provost’s Office. The ALER section will plan, negotiate, and administer labor contracts for ISU’s academic bargaining units; ISU currently has four academic bargaining units covering approximately 685 Tenured and Tenure Track Faculty, 550 instructional and clinical Non-Tenure Track Faculty, 125 Lab School employees, and 450 Graduate Teaching Assistants. In addition to management and oversight of academic labor contracts, the ALER section will consult with supervisory staff regarding performance issues for Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty, Non-Tenure Track Faculty, Faculty Associates at the University’s laboratory schools, and Graduate Assistants. -

Ctr for Integrated Professional DevelopmentThe Scholarly Teaching Director will promote the teacher-scholar ideal, serve as a lead expert resource in teaching and learning in higher education, and contribute to a national dialogue about teaching, learning, and assessment. The Director will lead the Scholarly Teaching Unit and administrative staff, housed in the Center for Integrated Professional Development, and will be responsible for leading professional development programming, services, and support for helping instructors develop expertise in evidence-based teaching practices. The Director will enhance and support the implementation of institution-wide initiatives related to inclusive teaching and learning excellence, faculty mentoring, and student success. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs and will be a twelve-month tenurable appointment. -
