The Honors Program is looking for engaging and motivated Instructional Assistant Professors to teach the Honors Mindset Seminar (HMS). HMS is a 1-hour class designed to introduce first-year Honors students to the Honors Program and to help them develop an Honors Mindset. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment. Candidate will be responsible for teaching English courses. University High School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 625 students in grades 9-12. This unique school acts as a laboratory for 21st century educational innovation and research. The mission of the school is to provide a site in which excellence in education theory may be connected to practice. Extracurricular duties may be assigned.

Serves as an academic advisor for undergraduate Mathematics majors for all sequences; helps resolve registration issues for students in all mathematics courses; assists with department recruitment and retention efforts. Within the bachelor's program we have majors in Pure and Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Mathematics Teacher Education, a few legacy majors in Data Science and Computational Mathematics, as well as minors in mathematics. There is also a large General Education commitment, serving students from all over campus. The advisor is expected to liaise with other advisors on campus and facilitate the transition from Pure and Applied mathematics to the Accelerated Sequence for students accepted into the 5-year BS/MS program.

The Clinical Instructor and Coordinator of Clinical Experiences is responsible for ensuring that the secondary English Teacher Education program's commitment to socially just English Language Arts instruction is modeled and supported in all clinical experiences. This includes providing instruction within the English Education sequence, which may include teaching introductory English Education and methods coursework, supervising student teachers, and co-facilitating the student teaching seminar. The Coordinator is also responsible for seeking, building, and sustaining clinical relationships, including visiting field sites; creating and maintaining clinical program databases; coordinating and supporting clinical mentors and student teaching supervisors/field instructors, including supporting ongoing professional learning for clinical mentors and supervisors/field instructors; liaising and communicating regularly with program faculty and staff about aligning clinical work with course requirements, licensure requirements, and the program’s mission and vision; working with College of Education placement personnel; monitoring candidates' performance in clinical experiences, including collecting and synthesizing program data from clinical experiences; and intervening when necessary to proactively and strategically address logistical, interpersonal, dispositional, or program needs or concerns in order to ensure candidates’ ability to demonstrate proficiency and maintain positive working relationships with school-based partners. The Coordinator will work closely with and under the direction of the Director of English Education and must also be able to work effectively with students, professionals in the field, and other staff and faculty in the program.

The School of Kinesiology and Recreation is seeking graduate assistants to support the Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIMOC) program and Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (PSPA) Lab. The unit is responsible for the procurement and distribution of utilities, energy conservation and infrastructure improvement, operation and repair of facility mechanical systems, and the automation and management of building control systems. With responsibility for the operation of the University's power plants, the unit has employees working 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
