Job Summary
This position will process all classifications of domestic undergraduate applications that are submitted to the University. There is much public contact with prospective students and their families through e-mail, phone, and various campus events. With training, incumbent will be knowledgeable of all admissions policies and procedures and be able to apply them. Working in a high production unit, the incumbent should be able to work with speed and accuracy.
Additional Information
The Admissions Processing is a unit within the Undergraduate Office of Admissions. The Office of Admissions is the front door to the University and guides perspective students through the college admission process. This position is eligible for hybrid work (mix of pre-scheduled remote and in-person days) after a minimum six-month training period. Eligibility is based upon employee performance, appropriate remote working environment, and business needs.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$15.18 - $17.18 per hour
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the categories below:
A. Coursework in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
-30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
B. Work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Strong attention to detail and excellent assessment skills.
3. Thoroughness and good organization skills are also crucial.
4. Data entry experience and be familiar with software programs (i.e. word, excel, etc.).
5. Strong written and oral communication skills.
6. Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are needed as the Admissions Office is the front door to the University for new students.
Work Hours
This is a part time (67%) position working approximately 25.13 hours per week.
Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (may be adjusted based on office needs)

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview.
