Job Summary
Join a dynamic team that supports signature University events. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, professional communication, and executive-level operations.
Duties include:
1) Helps in the facilitation of events including set-up, assisting guests, and cleaning up
2) Creates event materials such as nametags, place cards, menu cards, signs, etc.
3) Proofreads content such as address lists, invitations, and programs
4) Answers incoming office phone calls, transfers calls, takes messages/RSVPs, and answer questions related to events
5) Performs accurate data entry when entering RSVPs and creating address lists
6) Greets incoming office visitors and event guests
7) Maintains inventory of gifts and supplies
8) Helps with large invitation and confirmation mailings
9) Conducts internet research
10) Runs errands on campus and around the Bloomington-Normal community such as making deliveries, purchasing supplies, and picking up orders for events.
11) Prepares gifts such as gift baskets; treat bags; medallions for years of service recognition, etc.
12) Assists with office coverage throughout units in the Office of the President

Work Hours
Usually between 9-4:30 p.m. with potential evening or weekend hours.
