Graduate Research Assistants are generally assigned to assist individual faculty members with the research project(s). Candidate should expect majority of duties will relate to faculty research, however, the nature of the assistance can very and may involve, although not limited to, activities/duties such as:
1. Library work.
2. Grant proposal writing.
3. Literature review.
4. Data gathering.
5. Data analysis.
6. Preparing manuscripts and presentation files.
7. Attend Departmental seminars, workshops, and other professionally-related activities when invited/requested - may be virtual or in person.
8. Assist other faculty-specific academic activities as needed.
1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at http://hr.iilinoisstate.edu/downloads/GA_Handbook.pdf.
2. Must be enrolled as a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in the Department in Agriculture.
1. 10 hours per week.
2 Work hours will be varied and arranged with the faculty advisor.
3. Work schedule will be set so as to not interfere with student's class schedule.
