Job Summary
Assist in performing maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, move furniture, equipment, and building materials.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$23.20/hour
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two (2) years of building mechanical and/or building electrical work experience.
3. Valid State of Illinois driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid CDL driver's license.
Work Hours
To be determined upon hire.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Physical Requirements - Should have manual dexterity needed to assist in repair of small machinery. Occasional heavy physical exertion and climbing of stairs and ladders required. Incumbent must be able to climb and be comfortable at heights of 40' or more and/or depths (pits, hoist-ways, etc.), be able to lift or handle 75 lbs unassisted a minimum of 2 flights of stairs and/or 300 feet. Must be able to work both overhead (and lift weights of 60 lbs overhead for short periods of time) or on knees for extended periods of time.
2. Work Environment - Incumbent will encounter noise, dust, heat, cold and mud. Work is completed outside in all kinds of weather, occasionally encountering potentially hazardous materials and equipment.
