This position relates directly to financial aid advising for new and returning student populations. This position serves as a liaison with appropriate offices and agencies and conducting public presentations on financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Advisor conducts student need analysis, makes professional judgment decisions, resolves conflicting information and reviews student eligibility for aid programs in compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies. This position includes some responsibility for middle school outreach and recruitment of a diverse student population.
1. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:
A. college course work in any field
- Associate Degree (60 semester hours) equals one (1) year (12 months)
- 90-semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B. work experience coordinating office, business, or customer service/relations activities.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of higher-education, student services, or closely related experience.
1. Experience in financial aid
2. Bilingual in Spanish
Core work hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some evenings and weekends
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam.
