Job Summary
The A+ Grant Office Support positions help project staff prepare and organize visual materials used in classrooms, trainings, and conferences. These positions focus on assembling, laminating, cutting, sorting, and preparing printed materials by hand to support instruction, communication, and student engagement for educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and prepare visual materials such as schedules, task cards, charts, communication visuals, and classroom supports.
- Laminate, cut, sort, and organize printed materials for staff use.
- Help maintain an organized inventory of visual supplies and materials.
- Assist grant staff with preparing materials based on classroom and student needs.
- Gather and prepare materials for conferences, trainings, and events.
- Keep work areas and supplies organized.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervising staff.

The Autism Professional Learning and Universal Supports (A+) project at Illinois State University plays a vital role in addressing the significant behavior needs of children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related behavior and communication disorders, in collaboration with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). As the number of children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder continues to increase, so does the need for specially trained staff. To ensure their success in the educational setting, learners with ASD require specific strategies and supports. Equally important, school teams supporting these students must possess the knowledge and skills to provide effective interventions. Professional learning is an integral component of the technical assistance A+ provides to educators across Illinois.

$16.00 per hour

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment and are paid for hours worked only. Extra Help employment does not guarantee permanent employment. Extra Help employees may only work up to 900 total hours.
