Job Summary
The Associate Director for Asset Management reports to the Director of Accounting Operations and manages Foundation assets to ensure financial assets are properly stewarded, reconciled, and reported. This position serves as a strategic resource to Foundation leadership, the Foundation Board, campus administrators, and works collaboratively with external vendors, Advancement Operations, Development, Financial Aid, the Office of the Provost, and university partners, to maximize the impact of financial resources and ensure compliance with all legal and policy obligations. This position serves as the in-house expert on budget, investments, tax, audit, and asset management.

This position will work within Advancement Operations, which houses Accounting Operations, Advancement Technology Services, Gift Processing, Prospect Research, and Donor Engagement.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$70,000 to $75,000 annual
Required Qualifications
1. A. Bachelor's degree with a major in Accountancy or a related field AND two (2) years of professional level accounting experience.
OR
B. Possession of current registration as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant, or a valid license to practice Public Accounting (LPA).
OR
C. Master's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
2. Minimum of five years of full-time or part-time equivalent professional level experience in accounting, finance, or foundation operations.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to analyze data, review accounting and financial documents, and utilize software to achieve positive outcomes
5. Creative problem-solver who can identify gaps and opportunities
6. Demonstrated ability to behave in a manner that ensures confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with financial asset management.
2. Experience with CRM software, accounting software, and banking/investment software
3. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage long-term projects, and flexibility to deal with changing priorities
4. Self-starter, motivated
Work Hours
Core work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
