Job Summary
The STEM Education Coordinator is responsible for managing STEM outreach, civic engagement, and scholarship programs at the Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST). This position requires the use of innovative STEM educational strategies, multiple technical skills, skills in mentoring young people in pursuing STEM careers and interests, skills in providing professional development to STEM educators, and a strong commitment to providing equitable, inclusive access to high quality STEM learning experiences to diverse and underserved communities. This position involves coordinating a scholars program of 40 undergraduate students; coordinating professional development for STEM faculty; mentoring diverse communities to make STEM disciplines more inclusive and equitable; and delivering high quality STEM instruction.
Additional Information
This is a non-continuous appointment that expires at the end of the current grant year. Appointment renewal for subsequent grant years is contingent upon grant funding availability and program needs.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$5,000 Monthly
Required Qualifications
1. Doctoral degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or Education discipline.
2. Experience managing STEM education projects
3. Post-secondary teaching experience in a STEM subject
