Illinois State University seeks a strategic and innovative academic leader committed to the mission, vision, and values outlined in the University’s strategic plan. The dean is the chief academic and executive officer of the college, providing vision and leadership in the context of shared governance. The dean leads the development and implementation of the college’s strategic future, and reports to the provost, who also serves as vice president for academic affairs. The dean’s overarching responsibilities are to develop an effective collegial environment that supports excellence in teaching, scholarship and service and advances the profession of nursing. The dean facilitates collaborations within the college, university, and broader community. The dean provides leadership that advances the University’s commitments through extramural funding as well as internal and external partnerships. The dean provides leadership and support efforts to advance equity, diversity, access, and belonging to effectively serve all students, faculty and staff in the college. The dean must be committed to continued excellence in undergraduate and graduate nursing education; faculty support for scholarship and research activities, including extramural funding; and partnerships with regional hospitals and healthcare facilities. The dean will engage college faculty, staff and students in developing a shared plan for the future of the college and its role in the broader mission of the University.

The MCN Springfield Location Administrator provides leadership for the day-to-day operation and support of the Mennonite College of Nursing Springfield location. This includes all facilities function/reporting, faculty support, student services, student academic advisement, health and safety compliance, data tracking and reporting, faculty support, and IT support.

Assists in performing maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, moves furniture, equipment, and building materials.

The primary responsibility of the Standardized Patient is to portray the characteristics of a real patient, simulating all aspects of the created scenarios, primarily in the simulated in-patient setting including history of current problem, affect/behavior and physical findings, in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner. Scenario facts must be accurately memorized, retained, and portrayed. Scenarios may be audio and videotaped for evaluative purposes. Multiple opportunities exist with flexible schedules.

The Director of Development serves as the development liaison to the College of Arts and Sciences (the College) and represents the College in pursuing major gifts (funding commitments of $25,000 or more made via outright, pledged, or planned gift arrangements). The individual holding this position will develop and execute strategies and plans to cultivate, solicit, and secure major gifts and qualify new major gift prospects. The individual will work in close collaboration with the Dean of the College and will work as needed with other administrators, faculty, and staff of the College. As appropriate, the individual will collaborate with other development officers working on behalf of Illinois State University's other colleges and administrative units.

Graduate teaching assistants are generally assigned to individual faculty members to assist with course instruction. The nature of the assistance varies by discipline and can involve a variety of activities.

The Director of Facilities Planning, Design, and Construction works collaboratively with the University community in planning, designing, and constructing facilities in support of the instruction, research, and public service functions of the University.
