The Associate Dean advises the Dean and makes strategic recommendations on a full range of personnel management, budget, policy, and planning issues related to the management of the College. This role oversees budget and financial operations for the College in collaboration with the Dean. collaborates with other members of the College staff on issues such as instructional capacity, development, technology support, and facilities/space coordination as these areas relate to budget and planning.

The Honors Program is looking for engaging and motivated Instructional Assistant Professors to teach the Honors Mindset Seminar (HMS). HMS is a 1-hour class designed to introduce first-year Honors students to the Honors Program and to help them develop an Honors Mindset. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for the overall success, performance and conduct of the women’s swimming/diving program at Illinois State University. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for supervising, planning, coordinating the activities of all swimmers and divers. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for setting standards and establishing team culture that maintains a high standard of program excellence which includes successful recruiting academically eligible student-athletes; developing the team and individuals within the team; staff hiring and supervision, management of the program budget, scheduled of contests and facilities needs, ordering equipment and uniforms, and public relations/donor relations. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for conducting all duties and activities with integrity and within NCAA rules, Missouri Valley Conference rules, the State of Illinois requirements, Illinois State University and Athletics Department regulations.

The Clinical Instructor and Coordinator of Clinical Experiences is responsible for ensuring that the secondary English Teacher Education program's commitment to socially just English Language Arts instruction is modeled and supported in all clinical experiences. This includes providing instruction within the English Education sequence, which may include teaching introductory English Education and methods coursework, supervising student teachers, and co-facilitating the student teaching seminar. The Coordinator is also responsible for seeking, building, and sustaining clinical relationships, including visiting field sites; creating and maintaining clinical program databases; coordinating and supporting clinical mentors and student teaching supervisors/field instructors, including supporting ongoing professional learning for clinical mentors and supervisors/field instructors; liaising and communicating regularly with program faculty and staff about aligning clinical work with course requirements, licensure requirements, and the program’s mission and vision; working with College of Education placement personnel; monitoring candidates' performance in clinical experiences, including collecting and synthesizing program data from clinical experiences; and intervening when necessary to proactively and strategically address logistical, interpersonal, dispositional, or program needs or concerns in order to ensure candidates’ ability to demonstrate proficiency and maintain positive working relationships with school-based partners. The Coordinator will work closely with and under the direction of the Director of English Education and must also be able to work effectively with students, professionals in the field, and other staff and faculty in the program.

In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, the Psychology Department maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in non-tenure-track teaching positions.
