Intercollegiate AthleticsThe Athletic Trainer will provide quality health care primarily to their assigned sport but support other staff members with health care for all 400+ student-athletes at Illinois State University. The Trainer will be responsible for all aspects of health care including, but not limited to: practice coverage, competition coverage, treatment, rehabilitation, post-injury care, injury prevention, and facilitation of physician referrals. The sport assignment will be with Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Golf, and Cheerleading. The Athletic Trainer will serve as a Preceptor in the athletic training education program. Additional administrative duties will be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. -

The Academy strives to keep youth on track for high school graduation, prepare them for higher education, and equip them with the skills to successfully transition to adulthood. The Scholars spend all four summers of high school living on the university campus (Summer Immersion Program), and they return one Saturday per month during the school year (Saturday Academies). While on campus, the Scholars attend academic classes, participate in life skills workshops, and explore life on a university campus.
