The certified teacher of visually impaired students works with students with visual impairments that attend their home school and other educational sites. The vision itinerant teacher will provide direct services per the IEP process to students with an identified visual impairment, serve as a resource to school personnel, evaluate students referred through appropriate channels, and promote interest in and an understanding of the implications of a visual impairment. The Special Education Department at Illinois State University is hiring a Postdoctoral Scholar to coordinate research and education activities. The Postdoctoral Scholar’s research responsibilities will include overseeing recruitment, data collection, and data analysis; co-authoring manuscripts and presentations; designing and conducting original research that aligns with the aims of the project; and mentoring doctoral and undergraduate research assistants.
