The Project Management Graduate Assistant will assist project managers in managing information technology (IT) projects, and in scheduling information technology (IT) projects to balance resource capacity, assignments, and availability. The position will support multiple internal units with the maintenance of their project schedules and portfolios and will support the functions of the Project Management Office within the Office of Digital Transformation and Process Improvement within the department of Technology Solutions.
The First Star ISU Academy is a college-preparatory program for high school foster youth (Scholars). The Academy strives to keep youth on track for high school graduation, prepare them for higher education, and equip them with the skills to successfully transition to adulthood. The Scholars spend all four summers of high school living on the university campus (Summer Immersion Program), and they return one Saturday per month during the school year (Saturday Academies). While on campus, the Scholars attend academic classes, participate in life skills workshops, and explore life on a university campus.
First Star is a four-year college prep program that hosts up to 12 high school foster youth for monthly Saturday sessions and a two-week summer residential experience on the Illinois State University campus. First Star Illinois State University Academy aims to prepare Scholars for successful matriculation into 2- or 4-year colleges and universities.
