Job Summary
1. Collect, segregate, inventory and prepare for disposal the hazardous waste collected on campus.
2. Prepare periodic reports, inventory reports, inspection reports and general correspondence.
3. Perform weekly compost monitoring at the ISU Farm.
4. Certify chemical fume hoods by checking face velocities annually.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate
$15.00/hour
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of chemical reactions, incompatibilities, and properties not required, but extremely useful.
2. Prefer candidate in a Safety, Environmental Health or Chemistry major.
Work Hours
Office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Specific schedule to be determined based on availability.

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
