Job Summary
The assistant coach is responsible for assisting with various coaching, management, and administrative duties of the tennis program as assigned by the Head Coach. The assistant coach is responsible for conducting any duties or activities with integrity and within the rules of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference and/or Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVC or MVFC), the State of Illinois, Illinois State University, and the Athletics Department.
Additional Information
This is a date-definite part-time position requiring approximately 18 hours per week, with hours varying based on workload and business needs, ending April 30, 2026.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$8,000
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Proven ability to recruit, train, teach, and develop high-level Tennis student-athletes.
3. Proven successful college coaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree
2. Minimum of one (1) year/s' experience coaching collegiate-level Tennis
Work Hours
Approximately 18 hours per week, with hours varying based on workload and business needs.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
