Job Summary
The Dr. Julia N. Visor Academic Center is comprised of about 9 professional staff, 9 graduate assistants, and approximately 75 student employees, operating collaboratively despite distinct responsibilities. While each staff member has specific programmatic responsibilities, the center operates as a team, and therefore, student workers assist with a diverse mix of programmatic responsibilities. Student workers engage in many tasks, including direct student support, tabling events, and administrative work.
In collaboration with senior full-time staff, the Academic Support Services Student Worker will provide administrative and academic support through the following:
-Research and content development within academic services including tutor trainings and academic workshops
-Participate in interviews of tutors and Supplemental Instruction Leaders
-Review/update programmatic documentation
-Serve at tabling/outreach events such as admission events and summer orientation for new students
-Support the First-Year transition course curriculum development for IDS 128
-Assist with day-to-day operations
-Performs other duties as assigned

Work Hours
Monday-Friday between 8am - 4:30pm; up to 27 hours per week
