Job Summary
The Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts is currently seeking undergraduate students to fill entry level positions in the Center for the Performing Arts box office beginning the fall semester of 2025.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Learning and selling tickets via Paciolan system for Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts events; this includes the School of Music, School of Theatre, Dance and Film, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Illinois Symphony Orchestra and other events as directed
- Cash handling and processing credit card transactions for ticket sales
- Providing excellent customer service
- Generating deposit reports and other duties assigned by CPA Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Information
Employees hired to work in the box office are also considered for event staff as Front of House and House Management positions. These positions oversee the audience experience as well as coordinate with backstage personnel to provide the best customer experience and safety for our patrons while providing support for those performing. These events are during evening and weekend hours in the CPA Concert Hall, CPA Theatre, and Westhoff Theatre.

Pay Rate
$15.00/hour
Work Hours
All members of the box office team have regularly scheduled hours during the work week (5-7 hours). These hours will be scheduled Monday-Friday between 10:45am - 5:15pm. However, with over 140 events annually, there are numerous opportunities for additional hours as a box office employee, or if selected, a House Manager or Front of House Manager. The box office is also open during the summer to provide ticketing operations for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival.
Both daily and event shifts for the entire semester are scheduled as much as possible at the beginning of the semester to best accommodate student class and performance schedules.
