Job Summary

The Financial Operations Coordinator is responsible for all large-scale department events operations and scheduling, assisting the Assistant Director of Financial Operations with financial duties, and overseeing the payroll process for the Campus Recreation department.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$49,000 - $55,000 annual, combined with an excellent benefits package
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, management, sports management, or related field.
2. Two (2) years (24 months) of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.
(NOTE: A master’s degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)
3. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
4. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work involving the application of accounting theory to accounting problems.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree.
2. Experience with successful large event development and/or coordination.
3. Demonstrated experience with Innosoft Fusion (or equivalent member management software) and EMS (or equivalent scheduling and facility management software).
4. Ability to communicate proficiently in both verbal and written formats.
5. Possess American Red Cross CPR/AED/BBP and First Aid basic certification.
6. Possess American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid instructor certification or must obtain within the first year of employment.
7. Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office 2016 or equivalent product.
8. Experience with Colleague, Budget Center/Cognos and TMA.
9. Demonstrated experience in finance, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Work Hours
Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
