Job Summary
This position coordinates communications and personnel matters for the School of Theatre, Dance, and Film and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival (ISF). Duties include developing and implementing the marketing plan for the School of Theatre, Dance, and Film, implementing the ISF marketing plan in collaboration with the Managing Director, and managing all personnel processes for the School and Festival, including union contracts for ISF talent.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$43,888 - $47,000 annual, combined with an excellent benefit package
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position conferred prior to start date.
- Two years (24 months) of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.
Note: A Master’s degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one year (12 months) of work experience - Demonstrated mastery of computer software including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for public writing and editing.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, delegate, and supervise work in a calm and efficient manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, company members, patrons, and donors in a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of management practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with social media management.
- Experience with University hiring policies and procedures.
Work Hours
Core Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
