Job Summary
The Department of Politics and Government offers majors and minors in Legal Studies. We maintain 12-16 tenure/non-tenure track faculty while serving over 100 students in the Legal Studies Program. Legal Studies courses are geared to help students prepare for a paralegal career.
Additional Information
In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, the Department maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in part-time, non-tenure track teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor
2. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior teaching experience
2. Experience working with paralegals
3. Membership in the Illinois Bar
