Job Summary
The Department of Technology at Illinois State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
A successful candidate will be expected to:
• Teach applied undergraduate courses in one or more of the following manufacturing-oriented Engineering Technology areas: CAD/CAM, Manufacturing Systems Organization and Operations, Integrated Manufacturing Systems Technologies (e.g., Industrial Robotics, PLC, Fluid Power, Electrical Systems, etc.), CNC, Industrial Plastics Technology, and/or Quality Management Systems.
• Teach graduate courses in Project Management (e.g., Project Leadership, Project Initiation and Planning, etc.).
• Establish a focused agenda of scholarship and grantsmanship appropriate to the discipline and disseminate through peer-reviewed venues.
• Participate and lead service activities in the profession and University.
• Work Closely with faculty and students to develop research skills.
• Work closely with faculty and staff to develop relationships with industry and external funding for program initiatives.

Required Qualifications
1) Earned doctorate in Engineering Technology, Engineering, or closely related field. Exceptional ABD candidates who reasonably expect to complete a terminal degree by August 16, 2025, will be considered.
2) Expertise in one or more of the following areas: CAD/CAM, Manufacturing Systems Organization and Operations, Integrated Manufacturing Systems Technologies (e.g., Industrial Robotics, PLC, Fluid Power, Electrical Systems, etc.), CNC, Industrial Plastics Technology, and/or Quality Management Systems.
3) Demonstrated experience in teaching and scholarship.
4) State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement of this position.
