The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is one of 13 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. It provides the campus community and guests with high-quality, efficient, and innovative event services and dining options in a variety of settings dedicated to accentuating and enhancing the campus experience in a diverse community.

This position plays an integral role in EMDH by contributing to the fiscal management of the department through a variety of accounting tasks such as processing data, monitoring and reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records.
1. Any one or any combination of the following types of preparation:
(a) Two (2) years of work experience performing a variety of tasks that require the application of judgment and initiative, a thorough knowledge of
bookkeeping, and a basic knowledge of accounting practices.
(b) 9 semester hours of college course work in accounting
(c) 90 semester hours of college course work in any curriculum
2. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, methods and terminology.
3. High level of proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets.
4. Demonstrated ability to use independent judgments and initiative.
5. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures including databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
6. Ability to work quickly and accurately with cash and figures.
7. Accuracy, dependability, and clear written and spoken communication skills are essential.
Monday through Friday during normal business hours, up to 28 hours per week.
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Ability to effectively communicate on a daily basis, both verbally and in written forms.
2. Ability to use a computer in day-to-day work (i.e. type on a keyboard and use a mouse).
3. Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation.
4. Ability to maintain a high level of concentration.
5. Ability to carry and transport coin weighing approximately 26 pounds.
