The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is one of 13 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. It provides the campus community and guests with high-quality, efficient, and innovative event services and dining options in a variety of settings dedicated to accentuating and enhancing the campus experience in a diverse community.
These extra help positions include: kitchen laborers, cooks, and cook assistants.
This position is an integral part of our dining operations staff. Led by experienced culinary professionals, we offer staff the opportunity to work in newly-renovated facilities and are committed to using quality ingredients and processes. These positions play an integral role by utilizing the individuals' food service talents to provide sanitation, baking and/or culinary support.

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment.
Employees are paid for hours worked only and do not qualify for benefits through the University. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
Availability to work a variety of shifts and days off, up to 28 hours per week.
1. High School graduation or equivalency
2. Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.
3. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently
4. Good communication skills
5. Good customer service skills
6. Ability to work in a team environment
7. Food Service Sanitation Certificate is beneficial but not required.
Shift and days off will vary, up to 28 hours per week
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
This position requires standing, walking, use of fingers and hands, reaching, lifting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, talking, hearing, speaking, and seeing. Ability to stand for an extended period of time without a significant rest period. The employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
