Will be responsible for teaching Physical Education courses at both Thomas Metcalf School and University High School. Position includes direct mentoring of university clinical students. May also assist in facilitating the Outdoor Education program which includes spending the night in a campground setting with students and faculty.
University High School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 610 students in grades 9-12. This unique school acts as a laboratory for 21st century educational innovation and research. The mission of the school is to provide a site in which excellence in education theory may be connected to practice. Extracurricular duties may be assigned.
Metcalf Laboratory School is also a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 400+ students in grades PreK-8.
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Professional Educator License
3. Licensed to teach as a K-12 Physical Education Teacher
4. Experience with extra-curricular activities, or willingness to pursue. Involvement is mandatory.
1. Master's degree
2. Licensed to teach Health and Driver's Education
Typical School Hours with occasional work beyond regular school hours.
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
