University Housing Services is looking for ambitious students to assist UHS Professional Staff with various responsibilities and grow professionally. This position requires Federal Work Study. Limited positions available, openings in Summer and Fall 2026 semesters.

Students serving as Student Leaders in Community Engagement (SLiCE) will support CCE by assisting with the planning and execution of various projects and programs as a leader in volunteering/service learning and civic education.

The Night Operations team is searching for motivated individuals to oversee and support the overnight safety and security of the residence halls and university apartments. Work hours are 11:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and we will work with your schedule. Opportunities for advancement are available to employees who excel in the position.

The On-Air Student Newscaster will prepare, record, and properly distribute newscasts that air on WGLT or WCBU. This position works closely with the WGLT and WCBU news director or their designees to make good story decisions during newscast preparation.

Students will be trained in human subjects research. They will read papers and summarize them to their supervisor. They will also assist on research projects, and will carry out tasks like data coding and data cleaning.

FALL 2026 - Marketing majors/Professional Sales Sequence. Creating a pool of Sales Lab Monitors who will schedule and monitor activities in the State Farm Hall of Business Sales Lab. This position will also assist the Director of Professional Sales and Sales faculty. This would be additional duties.

MASAI mentors are peer leaders trained to assist first-time-in-college (FTIC) students who graduated from a Charter School Network or College Preparation program with their personal and academic transition from high school to ISU.

The student ambassador will assist with recruitment efforts to encourage high school students, community college, and current ISU students to apply and accept offers to the Geography, Geology or ESSS programs at Illinois State University.

The Student Bike Share Coordinator leads the Illinois State University Bike Share Program and plays a key role in promoting sustainable transportation and bike safety on campus. This student staff member will oversee daily bike share operations, assist with bike maintenance, and support broader sustainability initiatives within our office.

Assisting with engineering student engagement, recruitment events, customer service/reception, and general office duties.

General customer service and reception duties include: filing and handling mail, making copies, restocking supplies, coordinating the retrieval of materials and items from other campus locations, data entry, cleaning labs and other department spaces.

This position supports the Center for Civic Engagement's voter‑engagement efforts on campus by helping student registering to vote, supporting (planning, outreach, tabling) election‑related events, and giving presentations about voting. Interns would also be assigned special projects related to voter engagement (research, new program implementation, social media, etc.)

The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST) is seeking strong student candidates to become STEM Ambassadors to join their HHMI Science ISU Program.
