The primary function of the Events and Programming Graduate Assistant is to offer programs and events that link student and alumni populations to career development and career readiness opportunities. The CPGA plans and implements programs and events, assists with career fairs, and works to aid in achieving the goals of the Career Services department.

The Career Advising Graduate Assistant will advise and provide career-related assistance to IllinoisState University students and provide administrative and strategic support to uphold the objectives ofCareer Services. The majority of the graduate teaching assistants primary duties are in support of instruction including but not limited to the responsibilities below: 1. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory; 2. Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks; 3. Grade student assignments which require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory; 4. Meet with and/or tutor students, mentor students in disciplinary writing, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or lab.

The School of Kinesiology and Recreation is seeking graduate assistants to support the Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIMOC) program and Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (PSPA) Lab. Positions involve conducting client intake sessions, developing individualized exercise and sport performance programming, and assisting with community outreach. Applicants must be enrolled in a master's degree program in the School of Kinesiology and Recreation.
