The Accessibility Assistant will be responsible for remediating documents and applying alt-text to images to ensure digital accessibility compliant with mandated standards, as well as administering the Center’s account on a crowdsource platform for transcription of handwritten materials.

Milner Library’s Scholarly Communication Unit is hiring an extra help Accessibility Assistant. The Scholarly Communication Unit supports and promotes research produced at Illinois State University and oversees the institutional repository, ISU ReD. The Accessibility Assistant will be responsible for remediating documents in ISU ReD to ensure digital accessibility.

The primary responsibility of the Standardized Patient is to portray the characteristics of a real patient, simulating all aspects of the created scenarios, primarily in the simulated in-patient setting including history of current problem, affect/behavior and physical findings, in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner. Scenario facts must be accurately memorized, retained, and portrayed. Scenarios may be audio and videotaped for evaluative purposes. Multiple opportunities exist with flexible schedules.

Provide support to the Accounts Payable team

The Extra Help Medical Office Assistant will perform duties such as scheduling patients, answering the main telephone line, and assisting with patient check-ins.

The LPN or RN works in close cooperation with the Health Service physicians, nurse practitioners, and RNs in order to carry out orders and provide services to those eligible for care at the Student Health Service.
