Job Summary
Under the general supervision, will perform and be responsible for the necessary work involved in the coordination, setup, maintenance and operation of all PA, AV, and other related technical needs of the Athletic Department and its vendors. The venues serviced by this individual include but are not limited to: CEFCU Arena, Hancock Stadium, Kaufman Building, Horton Fieldhouse, Weibring Golf Club, Duffy Bass Field, Marian Kneer Stadium, and the Redbird Soccer Field. This individual’s service will be provided for the following types of events (but not limited to): collegiate athletic contests, high school athletic contests, concerts, banquets, meetings, private events, assemblies, and other various public, community, and University events. This position will provide superior customer service to internal and external constituents.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$22.80 per hour
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or combination totaling eighteen months (18 months) from the categories below:
A. course work in arts, theatre, theatre management, music business, or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
B. work experience in technical operations of event production or closely related experience.
3. A final candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam. Employment is contingent on the successful result of the pre-employment physical.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of work experience in technical operations of event production or closely related experience.
Work Hours
Frequent weekend and night availability required.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and reach overhead.
2. Ability to lift 90 pounds.
3. Ability to push/pull 50 pounds.
4. Ability to climb a ladder while carrying 20 pounds.
5. Ability to climb stairs.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview.
